Orlando Hotels

  • The JW Marriott at Grande Lakes has two of the best restaurants inside, Primo Italian restaurant and Whisper Creek Farm The Kitchen, and is close to Dr Philips and Universal. 

  • The Grand Bohemian- Downtown Orlando is more relaxed than some other parts of town like Dr Philips with Universal Studios in it. Downtown Orlando also has bars, nightlife and some of the best restaurants in Orlando off Colonial Drive. 

  • Staying in Dr Phillips is great because it's central to everything and super close to the parks, especially Universal Studios. Disney and Universal Hotels are always great especially if you're visiting a park! Dr Philips also has world class restaurants.

  • I love to hike and the Botanical Gardens are near downtown. We could picnic on the blue ridge parkway! :)

  • Hot Springs Resort and Spa is only 45 mins from Asheville- book a tub in advance with a view and a cold shower so we can do hot and colds! Natural Healing Soaking!

  • Boone NC- Cute Mountain Town 

  • Highlands NC- upscale mountain retreat town with waterfalls, hiking and shopping

  • Little Switzerland, NC- summer retreat along the blue ridge parkway

  • Beech Mountain- For skiing & hiking

  • Brevard for Waterfalls

  • Other cute towns to explore- Cherokee, Lake Lure and Black Mountain

Orlando

  • Obviously, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Disney and Epcot. I love visiting the parks and feeling like a kid again!

  • There are fabulous natural Warm Springs that stay 72 degrees year round within an hour or so of Dr Philips like Rock Springs at Kelly Park where you can tube down a spring fed river to a spring fed swimming hole, the healing Rainbow Springs, Juniper Springs, the most pristine natural springs in Florida, Crystal River National WildLife Refuge, one of the only places you can swim with Manatees legally, and Weeki Wachi State Park with Mermaid Shows that have been going on since 1947!  

  • We have access to a handful of world famous beaches within 1-2 hours of Orlando such as popular Cocoa Beach, pristine and remote Cape Canaveral National Seashore, Vero Beach where you can stay at an oceanfront resort like Costa d’este, Kimpton or Driftwood and walk downtown, and ClearWater Beach with calm clear gulf coast waters and sunny skies year round! 

  • Florida has so much to offer including St. Augustine, the oldest town in the US, and St. Augustine Beach, Sarasota with Siesta Key Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Miami, The Everglades, Florida Keys and Key West among others.
